Cobertura y producción científica internacional de las Ciencias del Deporte
Resumen
Objetivo. Analizar la cobertura y producción científica sobre la Ciencia del Deporte en Web of Science-Core Collection (WoS-CC), Scopus, y Dimensions. Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque: Diseño no experimental (transeccional) y cuantitativo (descriptivo). La población la conforma la producción científica sobre deporte en todos los años, registrada en las bases de datos seleccionadas. Se realizó un estudio bibliométrico a partir de una búsqueda en las tres bases de datos multidisciplinarias e internacionales Dimensions, CC-WoS y Scopus, a partir de la combinación de los términos “Sport Science” or “Sport Sciences” en el periodo 2017-2021. Se realizó en este periodo antecediendo al inicio del proyecto de investigación “Repositorio Digital del Deporte Cubano” de alcance sectorial. Resultados/Discusión: Se calculó la cobertura de la temática en estas bases de datos y se representaron las coautorías y la colaboración por países, así como los mapas temáticos con el objetivo de determinar los principales autores, países y contenidos que se abordan en la producción científica entre 2017 y 2021. La cobertura temática es más notoria en la base de datos Dimensions respecto a Scopus y WoS, mientras que la mayor similitud de trabajos publicados se encontró entre Dimensions y Scopus. Conclusiones. Se considera que deben realizarse nuevos estudios ampliando la búsqueda en PubMed, Emerging Citation Index (WoS) y SciELO, para determinar la presencia de esta área del conocimiento según diferentes niveles de calidad y relevancia. Además, resulta necesario realizar análisis comparativos de la productividad científica y principales núcleos de investigación por continentes y regiones geográficas. Originalidad/Valor. Ofrece una aproximación al volumen y características de la producción científica sobre la Ciencia del Deporte en tres bases de datos significativas para la investigación científica, aspecto no identificado en la literatura.
