Estudio bibliométrico sobre turismo cultural en SCOPUS. Líneas para futuras investigaciones

Resumen


Objetivo. El objetivo del estudio es mapear la producción científica sobre turismo cultural en Scopus e identificar las oportunidades de investigación. Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque. Se realizó un estudio bibliométrico, en la búsqueda se empleó el descriptor temático cultural tourism en el título, resumen y palabras clave de artículos científicos. No se delimitó el marco temporal para analizar el tratamiento del tema desde sus inicios hasta el 2020.  En el software Bibexcel se procesaron los indicadores de productividad e índice H y en VOSviewer los indicadores de citación, co-citación y palabras clave más empleadas. Se analizó la estructura teórica del tema mediante el diagrama estratégico elaborado en el software Scimat.Resultados/Discusión. La producción sobre turismo cultural muestra un crecimiento exponencial y alto grado de actualidad, lo que indica interés en el tema e importancia. El autor más prolijo y referenciado es Greg Richards, la consulta de sus aportes garantiza calidad en los marcos teóricos. La revista más prolija es Annals of Tourism Research y Estados Unidos es el país más productivo. Se identificó la creatividad como tema básico y transversal en el campo.Conclusiones. El turismo cultural creativo se muestra como tendencia en el tratamiento científico, esta nueva etapa de la modalidad resulta pertinente para el cambio de los modelos turísticos tradicionales en la etapa pos-Covid.Originalidad/Valor. El estudio bibliométrico es una herramienta útil para la actualización de académicos para futuras investigaciones. Se brinda información referente para que los gestores turísticos consulten bibliografías de referencia sobre experiencias exitosas en cuanto a tendencias actuales.
